I fell in love with PR during my two summers interning with Chanel in the fashion division. After school I worked in-house for Dolce & Gabbana and Calvin Klein before moving to a boutique firm focussing on small luxury labels. I liked working with multiple lines because it kept things interesting but I did not love the culture of the business. Right around the time I was considering starting my own business, I was offered a job working with a small team on Bobbi Browns new book. It was an incredible opportunity that allowed me to start building my client roster while working flexible hours at Bobbi Brown...I was burning the candle at both ends but the hard work paid off!
Tinder PR was founded in 2005 and is based in New York City
everything!
I like working with young companies and watching their vision take shape and become successful.
Organization and great people skills.
You will know when you find the right fit...it’s like falling into a good relationship, it just feels right! This is how i choose my clients as well... i do not sign anyone that I think would be a conflicting personality. One of the best parts of owning your own company is having the ability to choose who you work with, to a certain degree.
It has completely changed. PR is no longer just placements with print and tv media...the best PR agencies now are able to partner their clients with smart projects and cross promote them to a whole new market. Also, the amount of websites/blogs as well as social media sites to be kept up with for your clients can be a bit overwhelming at times.
